Artist statement:

My photography is research based and I am interested in pathos and narrative. I often start with a line from a poem, a song or a story. I would like my images to work in their conceptual context, but most importantly, I aim, for each one to stand-up as a single image.

“We are such stuff as dreams are made on, and our little life is rounded with a sleep …” [Prospero in the Tempest, by William Shakespeare]. With a simple photo we can condense memory and desire, but we can also set them free. Ideally, I would like the viewer to have a sensual experience.
